Need help with video and sound cards

    I am thinking about buying a optiplex 6x 280 tower from dell. It doesn't come with a video or sound cards. what are the best ones for this type of tower? it will have 160g harddrive and 2000 ram. thanks

    You can't really go over the top as you are limited by the case cooling and power supply. What are you using the system for?

    just the basic stuff. emails, dvd burning no gaming or anything like that.

    The HD3450 and Audigy SE are both excellent choices for budget components. However, do you have a tower or workstation version of the GX-280? If you use the workstation version, you will need low profile cards. Fortunately these are available for both parts.
