need help with xbox

ok i have a xbox that was softmodded and broked and it say xbk is updating your system plz wait then it say xbl is not respond it not hook up i was think if i just put in a mod chip and a unlock harddrive would it work plz respond

 

Yes. the easiest modchip for n00b is Xenium, X3, SmartXX, etc with solderless. YOu need to know how to flash bios. You also need one of the autoinstaller disk (follow the link and download it, I think it has bios too)

It will work. I dont know you reflash bios easily or not.
