I left my nano in my bag one day and when i took it out it was just a little bent but it was stuck on hold, the buttons didn't respond i guess becuz it was stuck on hold, could not reset it, and there was a blank spot in the middle of the screen. I think I have ruined my nano which pisses me off becuz i did not throw my bag anywhere and hav kept my nano in there for a long time with no problems. My question is would it be possible or worthwhile to send my nano to a ipod repair place or am i out one heck of a lot of money. Thanks for any advice.

I would fisrt go through all the steps that ipod.com has to try to fix it yourself. If no luck then I would send it in. Its a real hassel to have to send your ipod to get fixed my MAC. they take for ever and sometimes the fix its not even worth it consedering what you will pay to have fixed....

If your Ipod is under warranty, Apple will either fix it or replace it free of charge. The whole process takes a week and I can provide pics to prove it. I dropped my 5g ipod video on the floor and it froze up and did nothing but displayed the sad ipod logo. I went to apple.com/support and handled everything there. Since they couldn't fix it, they sent me a brand new one.

hey if i was you i would not send it back to apple if it looks like its been open or bent they will return it unfixed. my cousin had a ipod video he left on da roof of his car while it was raining it came on for a while stopped and he tired to open it and see what was da problem and closed it and sent it to apple had to pay for shipping and then they didnt fixed it cause it was bent and had been open. best thang to do when u get it fixed get a protection case for it asap!! to protect your investment
