You ought to edit the thread title so that it's more specific. As for your problem, describe what you mean by 'slows down'. Have you checked the application for the relevant game has actually closed?
it lags when opening programs. the core 2 duo i had wouldnt hesitate. this one takes a while. from my understanding is that the quads are suppose to be faster. at least in multitasking. i have issues while reading things on the disc. i also takes time to boot up. i dont have many programs open. my cpu sometimes show it a 30% use and theres nothing running.
Sounds more like a problem with a bit of software on your PC. Have you checked specifically what is using 30% in the task manager?
well it aint constantly at 30 percent. it keeps jumping up and down. from 1 percent to sometimes even 80. could the hard drive be the reason why it takes a bit of time to load things? i was thinking of upgrading it. everything on that vista score is 5.9 except the hard drive. its at 5.4.
whilst a faster hard drive would cut maybe 2 or 3 seconds off your loading time, it isn't going to cause the problems you've described.
so as i have explained. what would be your opinion in what i have to fix or work on? it get annoying.
i have vista 64. should i just reinstall windows xp? i have 4gb of memory. do i need to optain xp64? what would you recommend?
I personally don't like 64-bit OSes or Vista at this point - solid results seem easier obtained in XP 32-bit.
