Hi. I'm very new into the world of authoring DVDs. I do have experience with Adobe premiere and Adobe photoshop but I've never made my own DVDs before. I currently own an PC and would like to put together a small demoreel for a jobsearch soon. I was hoping someone could point me out a PC based DVD authoring software that would be suitable for my uses. I would like a software that would allow me to put in my own creativity in creating the custom menus and chapter selections. Thank you very much in advance. Paul
potysgsxr: ------------------------------------------ Would I be able to user Pinnacle for my pc? ------------------------------------------ Sure, why not? It's a very good software for some, Others may beg to differ. I've had great success with version 9 Plus and have created all kinds of fantastic media with it.
As Minion said, DVD-Lab Pro is the best you can get (without spending several thousand dollars) for custom menus.
Pinnacle Studio is actually has very basic DVD authoring and menu Features and can not really do anything too advanced were with DVDLab pro You can Create a DVD as Complex or as simple as you Like You can even get an add of for it that is especially for createing Complex Menu"s called "DVD Menu studio" (I think??).... Cheers

XXX We're going to swing this one over to the Smith family. Are you crazy? Maybe the baseline Studio has nothing in it to do any menus or advanced creation. I know with 9 Plus, I'm able to do a million different things. Like Green screen, where I can add my kids into football games or movies and it looks like the real thing and picture in picture. I can change movies to black and white, add graininess, scratches, and lint, sepia etc. Those are just a few I can name to jazz up the flix if I choose. As long as you've got the pixie codes to unlock all of the utilities, the world is virtually yours to choose. Unless you use it regularly, you'd never be able to quite understand it powerful use.
