I have a pristine copy of (She's gotta have it), Spike Lee's directorial debut, that has never been done on dvd (I checked at Ebay and Amazon.com for that info). I have a good vhs player, and now I need to know how to record this into my computer into either mpeg or avi (whichever yeilds best quality). I can pretty much take it from there. I sincerely Hope this is the correct forum... [bold]}:-{0[/bold]

From what I read at both of your links, Jerry, this is going to be a little more expensive than I anticipated... I have another question, but I am going over to the proper forum, now that you pointed it out to me. Thanks.

Yes, there is some expense in the proper equipment to get the conversion done. Good luck in your project.

You could just plug your vhs into your camcorder. Load the video onto your computer then burn with a dvd program like nero.

Meaning play on the camcorder and record on computer at the same time. Use dvio it will not trip your camera when you start recording.
