I am in the process of buying a premodded xbox and was wondering if there is a difference in gameplay and loadtimes between a 720RPM (cooled) harddrive and a standard 5400RPM.

I recently installed a 120G 7200 RPM Drive and am very pleased with the load time. I don't have any cooling system but have not noticed any heat buildup. Anyway, I don't think you have much of a choice, since new drives in the stores are now 7200 RPM. Eventually, 20G drives will also probably dissapear.
