Hey. I'm moving into a big house with a bunch of randoms and theres a T1 connection being split between us by some wireless router. My PC (Dell Studio XPS 9100) doesn't have a wireless card and came with no free slots of any kind (only 2 PCI slots to begin with :( )

My question is what would my best option be? For school I need a reliable connection that isn't too slow (I have to transfer many files to and from the school's servers) and I've found that the USB wireless adapters are usually pretty useless.

I was thinking about building a small computer for just my school work that I could install a wireless card into, then I could run a wired connection from my main PC to that and still pick up the wireless but that seems like way more work than it's worth
