pleasant day ; Ive got a Leadtek winfast tv 2000 xp deluxe that i used for video capture from my videocam connected thru the s-video line. since a 20 min run get atleast 1.gb of hd space ..i tried to compresse it using windows movie maker with video for broadband NTSC(768 kpbs), and then used nero 6 for vcd format. as for the result, video is quite good smooth and crisp , but ive noticed the audio ... falls behind the video ... so i just dont know what casing it ...the movie maker or the nero it self ..
Why not just use TMPGEnc to encode directly from your captured source? (I do that myself.) By decreasing the bitrate to 768 kbps, it becomes crap (sorry). It makes no sense to decrease it to 768 kbps and the increase it to 1150 kbps again for VCD.
