    Hello--
After burning a DVD using Nero 6 the sound of the disc [ when played back through the computer] is garbled. The sound is fine when played back through my home DVD player.
    Any hints??
    Thanks!

When you play an original DVD in your computer, is the sound okay?

    Hello--
Nope, the sound is garbled no matter what kind of DVD I play through it. I've tried new store-bought stuff and discs that I've burned myself..... same results!
I guess it's a Nero problem but I don't know how to fix it.
    Thanks!

What player do you use to play those DVDs? Unless you use Nero Show Time, if the original discs play with messed up audio, it has nothing to do with Nero.
It could be your sound card/drivers/ codecs. Try playing using VLC, also switch between different audio streams.
Is the audio okay if you play something else, for example an audio CD? If yes, them your sound card must be okay. It is also possible the drive might be going away...

I have Nero Show Time and Winamp. I just played some DVDs through both and the sound was the same [garbled] so it can't be just a Nero problem. I played some CDs [home burned and store-bought] through both Nero and Winamp and they sound fine..no garble!
