I'm trying to use nero 6 ultra to burn DVD's that I have decrypted and compressed using DVD Shrink (V3 beta 5.0). I place the files in a folder labeled VIDEO_VTS, then using nero 6 ultra I copy and paste the file over using the DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) complilation function. I'm copying to DVD-RW (as a method practice) but they will not play on my PC. Does anyone know why? I often find also that nero has trouble erasing my DVD-RW's. Am I doing something wrong, and is there anything I can use besides nero which is more user friendly for a beginner like me.
hi all you seem to be going in the right direction! there is a guide here! http://www.chrismccann.co.uk also your spelling is wrong for the VIDEO_TS folder !!!!!!!!!!!!! if you used that it wont play! Thx... ALSO what hardware you got? and your UDF/ISO was it set at v1.02 ????_X_X_X_X_X_[small]XP 1700 TBred [o/c 2004mhz = 12X167/33 = FSB-334mhz] A7V8X SATA150/RAID 2x80 gig [Bios 1012] HERCULES 3D PROPHET [9700 Pro] XMS Corsair Platinum pc3500 2x512 1024 meg ENERMAX PSU 550watts [/small]
2 things....Instead of using the DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) setting in nero, try using the DVD-Video option in the wizard. Secondly, when u get to the point where you are dragging files over to the left, if Nero has already created a VIDEO_TS folder there, do NOT drag another whole folder into it. Just drag the ifo, bup, and VOB files that Shrink created (not the folder they are in) into the Nero VIDEO_TS folder. If you drag a VIDEO_TS folder into another VIDEO_TS folder on yer DVD, I doubt that yer player will find and play the movie. As for DVD-RW's, your puter should recognise them, even if a standalone doesn't. While I may use nero5 for burning, I use RecordNow for erasing RW's. Much faster and easier. Good Luck.
