I have nero start smart. It has stopped writting to the blank after encoding automatically. I tried removing it and reloading it back on my computer with no results. When I would do it manually, a message comes up when I click on burn it would say that there is not enough space for complilation on the disc. I use 4X blankdisc. What should I do?
How about being more specific? Umm, do you mean Recode 2? or Express? burning ROM? what? again what exactly are you trying to do? Can you be more vague? Brand of media?
I'm sorry for not being more specfic. Okay. after decryting with decrypter 3.5, I then use dvd shrink. After the encoding is completed Nero start smart would start buring automatically. That is no loner happening. I then tried burning the movie manually. When I go into nero burning rom, pick out the video file to be burned, a message comes up stating that there is not enough disc complilation. I am using CompUsa dvd+R4x, with 4.7GB. I hope that I have explained my problem a little better this time. I have a buslink dvd+-rw+-r dvd burner and recorder
Here is a guide that will get you through the process http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide2.html Also CompUSA disks are really bad, I would go out and get yourself some better media, i.e. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, TDK, Maxell. Make sure your firmware on your burner is up to date, this may make a difference in your disk recognition.
Definitely try some better stuff. Use nero infotool or dvd decrypter to find the exact manufacturers ID code on them.Try a small pack of maxells in the plus format. They have some excellent quality manufacturers.Try to find the ones made in japan on those wrappers for the better manufacturers. Again, the lower quality media can have uneven dye on the outer edge. Reducing that backup target in dvd shrink can help. Open up dvd shrink Edit Preferences Click on dvd5,scroll till custom Enter 4300 mbs in the box next to custom OK. This reduced backup target size can help eliminate a lot of issues.Once you get some quality media, then you can raise that target little by little. I keep mine at 4360 mbs. If you can post a nero burn log report,it could help out considerably. The poor media can also throw off your dma into pio mode. That log will tell us.
try uninstalling Nero, and use Nero clean tools. Also w/ Shrink create an ISO and using DVD Decrypter to auto burn. If you can successfully burn then the problem is with Nero. You have a Nero error log?
