Until now, Nero 7 has been working fine for me along with Windows DVD Maker. I used DVD+R. But ever since I used a DVD+RW, I cant seem to use +R anymore. I receive error log from Nero before burning. This has also caused a burning problems for Windows DVD Maker.

Please post the error log file and removed your Nero serial number

I think it's coincidental that after you used a +RW that you can't burn to a +R! what is the error message? and can you post a Nero log, found here:
    Nero log location:program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.tx

another possibility is if you have InCD installed... sometimes it conflicts with Nero DVD burning! that's why it's important for a nero log or the exact error message to be looked at!

    Here is the log error.

BTW, Nero still works with DVD+RW.

you're using poor media....... CMC MAG disks are poor media ...... use better media..... Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden! Using good media will stop many problems!

    Power Calibration area is Full

There are many cases where there is a problem with the disc, or information cannot be retrieved from the disc properly. The PC may be unstable or try a new disc. Most of the time it's caused by the blank disk..... use a different disk!
the file is from Roxio, or also can come in through WinAmp. If Roxio/Sonic is installed then you'll need Roxio Zapper to uninstall the program, these program do not play well together.

try these changes and see what happens!

I took the easiest step first and tried using a different cd and it worked.

Unfortunately I tried it a second time and its back to square one. Why work and suddenly not? It did occur to me that this happened the secon time after I opened Windows DVD Maker.

P.S Thank you for the help and info, but just to let you know that im not that familiar with this sort of thing. How would I go about doing this from your previous post?
