I am currently using nero 7 and have been burning cd's and dvd's. I am now getting a message could not perform end of disc at once when writing dvd's. The first time this happened I thought the dvd burner had burnt out so I got another writer and it fixed the problem, but only for a little while and it happened again. So I put another writer in and it was fixed for a while. It's now doing it again. This is the error log:

I have tried defragging. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled nero. I have also uninstalled the drive and reinstalled but still keep getting this error. Please help
    Thanks Emma

    A few points.

Slow your burn speed to 8X or 4X. 16X is just too fast for some media, some burners, and some systems.

You're using a pretty old version of Nero. Update to the most recent version or use ImgBurn (free) for burning. You can still use Nero Recode or Nerovision for your projects. Just use the Image Recorder as the target output device and then ImgBurn to burn the outputted Nero nrg image file.

You're burning way too far toward the outer edge of your blank disks. Set the target output size for your DVD5s to 4300 or 4350 MB at the maximum.

I can't find any updated firmware for your burner so I assume that's the most recent. Is it a Liteon or another brand of burner?

    Edit: text added below

There's a Roxio burning driver also installed. If you continue to experience problems, get rid of the driver by running the Roxio Zapper utility program available here:
