hey guys! this is my first post/thread here so feel free to bash me (not really lol)

actually i've been having a very weird problem for abt a month...i thot the problem might be the media (even tho i was using verbatim) but it turns out that's not the case...my new media does the same thing + i've tried both imgburn and verbatim but no dice...i just got 2 coasters b4 i finally gave in and decided to make an a/c here and hopefully find an answer (i've been lurking arnd for a while...but made my a/c just now)

anyways on to the main issue...i've been trying to burn dvd-r's to make copies of my video games (owned by me so no legal issues here lol) but for some reason i get the same error everytime when i use nero...it gives me a invalid block address + a session fixation error...i'm posting the log so that shld include all the key info necessary...

...I'm surprised at this...so far you've been lucky.

This version is full of bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this version 7.10.1.0 from here
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?2893

You have a lot of memory in use, DONT multitask while burning.

You're using good quality discs, Verbatim? and burning at a good speed

well like i said earlier...the problem is the same even with imgburn so despite being buggy, it can't be nero's version that's causing the mess up

as for mem usage...i'm really not multitasking...i guess its the stardock products that r taking the ram...even the new version of kaspersky hogs memory it seems

i'll try again by shutting down all the IM's and by temporarily stopping kaspepsky (unloading the stardock products will totally screw up the cpu's config)

and yeah, i always use top quality dvd media (verbatim mostly - sometimes sony)...and i always maintain speeds between 4x-6x

    thanks guys!

If the particular version of Nero that you are using was NOT an "UNSTABLE" version then I would NOT have mentioned it. It is my experience of replying to thousands of queeries that I have obtained this knowlege...I/we can only pass on the advice of my/our experience..it's your choice if you accept that experience.

I notice that you also have Roxio/Sonic installed

In most/all cases I would advise the following, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml but in your case I doubt whether you will accept this advice also.

don't get worked up mate...i came here for advice so sure i'll agree to everything u say :)

i'll be sure to update nero as soon as i can...and i deleted sonic already (nvr had roxio)...it prolly kept a registry so that must be what its showing i suppose

ok i tried another burn with imgburn after making a fair bit of free space after i stopped most of the key applications

i also removed the sonic drivers from the lappie

i finallygot a successful test burn but as i'm used to seeing, it turned out be a random success

here's what happened when i tried burn the same iso

    any suggestions anyone?

    i'm getting a headache lol
