Sorry if this was posted before, but I was so excited I wanted to tell everyone. I got an email today from Ahead Software (the makers of Nero Burning Rom). The latest update for registered owners of Nero 7 just got a nice happy update - the ability to convert videos to AVC Profile MP4's!!! That's right, H.264 encoded video, with AAC audio. In fact, if you have your iPod connected, you can even convert movies and it will put them automatically on your iPod (if you have iTunes 6 or higher). Sorry, I know this sounds like a plug or that I'm a plant, but I'm really not. I have been searching far and wide on software that will make it easy to turn my DVD's and movie files into iPod format and it's really a pain. Currently I'm using MeGUI, YAMB, and BeLight as well as Gordian Knot and DVD Decrypter. I own Nero 7, but it didn't support AVC Profiles. Now it does. I tested it out too - converted a WMV clip of 30 seconds in about 30 seconds. And it was literally as easy as hitting the browse button, pointing to the file, choosing iPod AVC in the profile box, next next next and done! Just thought that some of you may find this useful. :D

Good call, LilMikeyP. I'll be sure to update & test it, as I have had nothing but positive results using nero software in the past :)

No problem, mate. It's been working very well for me so far. I don't know if you caught my other thread with the problems I've been having with Shrink (still haven't figured it out) but Nero has saved the day for me on many occasion of late. I was always a fan, but I think they've turned themselves out a great product.
