The Nero 7 Essentials CD came with the HP DVD 1040 RW drive and when I try to use the drive the Nero program says I need to buy the program and have 30 more days to use this temporary version. This makes no sense to me. Why would a program which comes with the drive have to be purchased to use it? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks..
Essentials only comes with a 30 day dvd plug-in for recode (some versions have recode), Vision and Showtime. The rest of the apps in essentials should be functionality after 3 days like Express. Here's some info on the differences - link
binkie 7 your link seems to indicate that most of the features of the Nero software that came with the drive are only temporary. I trust the basic burning capabilities will continue forever or until the drive needs to be replaced. Thanks....
