I've been using the Ultra Edition for over a year with great results. But my DVD-RW drive crapped out so I replaced it with a Sony DVD-RW drive. This drive came with a CD containing Nero Essentials. I installed it and the Ultra Edition started screwing up. So I removed both the Ultra and Essentials and tried to re-install the Ultra Edition. It says the installation was successful but it doesn't show up. I click on Start and All Programs (XP Home Edition, SP 2) and it's not there. If I look in Windows Explorer I can see some of the files (not Burning ROM, though). I've tried removing all Nero references from the registry and re-installing but I get the same results. Any ideas? Thanks.
Gwendolin, Thanks for the suggestion. I did the cleaning and re-installed, but I got the same results. However, I can open the individual Nero programs, such as Burning ROM and NeroVision, and create shortcuts on the desktop for them. Thanks again, Anders
