I jsut got it last night. pretty neat alltho allready cant burn anything. When dragging and dropping the dvd files i want to burn (they are avi) an error shows up that its corrupted? little lost. i got the files off Utorrent as usual, and its not working mmm i unno.
looks like eveyones scared in here lol anyway after hours of working it out and asking around and researching, i figured i Download VLC media player in order to play one of the movies over it and the movie itself didnt even show. the play bar was working but only for about 5 seconds as if the movie was finished. there was no sound, no visual and basically it is a 350mb file. and it was like as if watching a scilent audio for 5 seconds. anyway after more researching i read in this website also that VLC might not recognise the file. SO i read on, that it could need decoding in order to code it? sheese i just wanna watch this damn movie lol anyway it is an .avi file, it is a movie series i Downloaded from Utorrent. i acutally downloaded about 2gb of this movie and cancelled it thinking it was corrupted, and opened a new file under a new name which also had good comments about the file in order to chose a good quality file. and not to my suprise, it also wasnt playing. im about to crack >.<
sounds like you need the codecs to play these files.plenty of downloads for these codecs.i think i used the divx codec package.
lol ive also d/led divx package that comes all complete with codec, divx player and the lot... still the same -.-
Yea scared's the word. I'm sure you spent some time reviewing how Nero works, reading the Help Files and the various guides at their site. If you want to play the game do some homework and at least get some of the terminology right. Which are they? DVD files or AVI's? Is Utorrent is some sort of site that has files to download? The closest thing I can think of is µTorrent, a bittorrent client. Now you say 350MB, then 2GB, then "opened a new file under a new name". Basically all gibberish. What ever type of file it is, get GSpot to identify it.
...sigh. not gibberish, just trying to tell you my story short. like i said. its a series i want to d/l. ok so first season of this particular series has so many episodes. for e.g one episode might be 150mb. the other might be 250 and other 350 or less. so i am talking in GENERAL i d/led 2gig of the whole download. and when i opened one EPISODE which is 350mb. not a computer wizard, please dont start additude with me as ive only come here for help. if you cant help, then pelase dont try making me sound like a retard. anyway, i call it "dvd". not sure in your language what u wanna call it, but this "movie that i want to put on dvd" is an avi file. "opened a file under a new name" AS IN, www.torrenz.com is a website that offers many different torrent files you may download off utorrent. what i meant by that first sentence was i d/led this series i wanted off one "user". and it apperad to be corrupted so i thought. so i deleted it. and opened it under a new name which i mean under a new user. please dont give me this "µTorrent" garbage not everyone in the world knows how to type that "µ" command and the only way i can is by copying and pasting your sentence. in my world, type in UTORRENT in google, and you will get the UTORRENT i have. -.- anyways, "If you want to play the game do some homework and at least get some of the terminology right." i think i am ending it here. thanx for your garbage additude
IS the file avi, divx.or a dvd_video file? if you want us to help you need to explain a bit better.Right click the file and select properties, summary, whats it say.If you've downloaded the file of a torrent site its either not finished downloading yet that's why there is no sound and it doesn't play,or its corrupt whats the files name LostS03E09 etc....
If you have vista, i recommend vista codec pack. Google it, it's free. If you still have XP, I recommend CCCP codeck pack. Google, free. You won't have any problems with those, everything works. For HD content, install ZoomPlayer standard, it's free. About the Nero: I use Nero8, i have a lite edition, works great, and it only has 25MB or so. I found it on a torrent site. You may use Google to search for "nero 8 lite .torrent"
@MysticE since when do simple manners cost anything? There is no need to be so confrontational and rude. Simply explain the details that are wrong and point out that you need correct info before answering. Isn't this meant to be a help forum for experienced/inexperienced and with replies like that newcomers and anyone in need of help will feel it wrong to ask as they will get the p**s took out of them or get talked down to.
There is a wealth of info available on these forums. To learn a few simple terms first, is not too much to expect. That way the question can at least be stated in a semi coherent fashion. There are also little items called help files. To not take a few minutes to read either, and then when an answer does not appear instantly, toss in an insult (scared) smacks of total laziness.
