try a firmware update to your drive maybe as it doesnt look like your discs used...

if still no go get some TY or Ritek GO5, not your type of Disc Manufacturer ID: <RITEKW> <01>

that is most definately the prob i would say...

this is the part where it trys to read disc and fails!

    5:32:27 PM #29 SPTI -1066 File SCSIPassThrough.cpp, Line 181
    CdRom0: SCSIStatus(x02) WinError(0) NeroError(-1066)
    Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)
    Sense Code: 0x24
    Sense Qual: 0x00
    CDB Data: 0xAC 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 64 00 00
    Sense Area: 0x70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 00 24
    Buffer x00000000: Len x648

whats TY and Ritek GO5? are types of discs that that we use here i use ritek go5, but most here will say get TY there tops...

when buying dvdrs look at the dye info online before buying good sites will tell you this info before buying!

your DMA looks fine now... keep an eye on it as consequtive errors on burning etc will revert it to PIO again.... in an attempt to burn

so your saying that my dvd burner cant burn on my dvds? o__O

i tried to burn something on a dvd-r, not rw, and it seemed to have burned right just the verfiy messed up i think...but it wont play on my dvd player....does that mean the burn still messed up or the verify messed it up?

    thanks in advance.

oh would it help to run a windows repair install?

does the disc play in your pc that you made with imgburn?

does the disc load ok into DVD Shrink (just testing file structure here) with no errors?

    all seems ok above...

if the pics are seen on pc, its probably the stand alone player doesnt like the RW disc
