OK, so I took my old 120gb WD HD out, and upgraded it to a 250gb Seagate SATA HD. I installed windows xp on it, and nero 8. I updated the firmware on my LG burner. When I go to burn a dvd, it stays at 1%, the disc starts to run, then stops after a few seconds. I never had this problem with my old hard drive installed. I can burn the same Video files using Convert X to DVD, at the same speed and it works fine. I have uninstalled Nero 8 and reinstalled it, and I am still having the same problem. Any Ideas?
you say it works with convertxtodvd, im hearing nero v8 is buggy use nero to make files to hard drive then use another app to burn as a workaround.
