A second DVD writer has been added to a computer used in the church. At the end of service; the computer is used to copy DVDs of the service written by a camera thru DVD-recorder (ie. DVD is not copyprotected; about 70-85mins long of video). The second DVD worked for simultaneous writes only once - now gives the following error NERO8: but without anything useful as to reason/fix. I've tried having writers on different ATA cables/channels or one same cable - no difference. It didn't like my using different brand writers - what's more it worked with current setup (ok only the once!). Can anyone help. It'll be greatly appreciated. Do you copy the footage of the camcorder to your hardrive first before you try the burn? Reason I ask if you are coping it on the fly without coping it to your hardrive first and trying to do it to two burners at the same time you will need a very fast good computer even then its asking a lot?
Just noticed you do these disk’s are poor quality use a decent brand Insert empty disc for simulation. (Medium in drive: Unknown. Thank you for the reply (Sorry for my delay in replying; illness). The brand of disks were TDK; but we have also tried Memorex and Sony. All have same error (on screen, I never looked far in the log). The DVDs are all are brand name disks. Have also tried copy speed at 8x and slowest speed option allowed (hoped it'd prove it was working) - regardless of speed from fastest to slowest it responded on screen the same (cannot write simulta...) > Do you copy the footage of the camcorder to your hardrive first > before you try the burn? The camcorder writes it to DVD - we are using the computer only to copy a DVD; ie. a DVD-R is created on the camcorder - then ejected and taken to PC where nero has the job of COPYING this DVD-R to multiple disks. copy the disk from the camcorder as an image first with image burn to your hardrive then burn the image with image burn see if that works you can download image burn from afterdawn
