I recently was creating a power hour dvd of music videos. The majority of vids are in mpeg or avi format. The dvd will burn fine, all of the videos will display when i go to playback what i've created but after two minutes, the audio stops then sporadically comes in and out usually about every 10 minutes or so with the introduction of a new video. Not sure what is causing this issue. I tried burning it to my Hard drive first then to dvd still no luck. Any idea what may be causing this? I am thinking that it could be something to do with the transitioning from one video to another but i'm not really sure how to confirm this. HELP!!
does it play off hard drive ok and not from dvdr? could try installing k-lite mega codec pack... does it do this on every clip either avi one or mpeg one? when you installed nero v8 did you have any older versions loaded before? and you didnt use the clean tools for them from nero website?
It will play from the Nero Showtime ok, but if i try to play it using cyberlink powerdvd, skipping issue starts. I don't believe it is a codec issue but I can try downloading that pack and see if it solves the problem. I did previously have nero 6 installed but i just uninstalled it and installed 8 when i got it. When i made videos like this with 6 i never had any problems with skipping. I can try uninstalling 8 and then running that tool you speak of from the nero website.
as another test use dvd flick its free and very good, and see what happens, this will see if nero is the culprit and you never know you may like it...
