Nero 8 Essentials Update

    Recently installed a copy of Nero 8 Essentials.

    If I run Nero SmartStart Essentials and click on the update symbol Nero shows that updates for all the installed products are available.

    When "Nero Installer - Installation wizard" runs it shows "Connecting...", then Preparing installation...", then "Connecting..." again. I eventually get a dialog box

    Nero ControlCenter
    Download connection problem


    I have run this without a Firewall or AV active with the same result.

    How do I get Nero 8 Essentials to update?

    That dont work, like the rest of this software. Use ashampoo or so that works.
