    Hi,

    I've seen this available on several bittorrent sites. The thing you have to look at is if they are the beta version and eventually will die (i.e. expired) thus rendering the software inoperable. Me personally I will wait until it is officially released and read the reviews before upgrading.

    Hi,

    Oops not saying that is where he obtained his copy but I've only seen it released on the torrent sites and per the comments most were betas. Before I purchased nero I used to use torrented copies and found they do not function well...still buggy.

    Hi,

    I don't think Ihoe or myself were stating u got the new nero from a torrent site. But the version you have I would bet is a beta pre-release to test and someone released it to the public. Therefore yes there would be some bugs as with any new version of software. The official release hopefully will have addressed and fixed whatever difficulties you are having. And reading on a few other sites I belong to others have had the same issue with the drag and drop function which once again leads me to believe it is not the final release of nero 8. I suggest waiting until it is released by the nero website and making a true assessment from there.

    Hi,

    I just bought nero 8 from bestbuy for 59 dollars. The original price was 99 dollars but they offered instant savings so I got lucky I guess. The interface is totally different so will take time to get used to. Perhaps others who have decided not to wait for the update to be available at the nero website and purchased it from a retail store will post their thoughts on version 8.

    I still have my original Nero 7.0.0.0 disk from Best Buy, everytime I place a can of Raid nearby it tries to crawl away, I think it wasn't until version 7.0.8.2 that most of the critters were squished, so I'm going to sit this one out for a while until Gwen or Binkie pronounce it safe to wade in.

    But looking at the system requirements, this damm thing is huge.
    What in the heck is in this behemoth?
    Well, this thing is all over the pirate channels, keygen and all,
    (Don't bother asking me for it 'cuz I'm not sharing this info because I don't believe in pirating software-keeping it buried under a rock where it belongs.)

    @blivetNC,

    I have been using version 7.5.9.0 for some time now without any problems, Cheers.

    I was brave, went ahead and updated to 7.10.10 and haven't found any problems, but amazed how fast this thing is bloating.

    Karen (binkie7) uses and recommends the same version (7.10.10), I'm not too keen on it, Cheers
