Okay I have had Nero 7 which I should have kept because new and improved doesn't ring true all the time. I'll keep this simple so the solution which will come once somebody notices the simple mistake I must have made. Using AnyDVD to clean DVD and Shrink to back up. \ Problem; The back up plays fine on my computer and TV (DVD)/(VHS Player), but not my roomates whos combo DVD / TV use to work when using nero7 back ups. Anything encoded or some setting preventing certain players from playing my DVD+ discs? JamJells
not all players are the same. some are more picky than others so it's important to make your backups more compatible with most DVD players by using better quality and most recognized media! Taiyo Yuden #1, Verbatim #2.... I use the +Rs,8x Taiyo Yuden and booktype to DVD-ROM so it fools the player that it's playing a store bought DVD. Read up on Booktyping your drive. so when you burn the next time..... it will be good to watch on MOST DVD players.
