I have rebooted the computer...oh, 12 times now. I still get the same message every single time I try to install. I can't get anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. I get a message saying... "A system reboot was requested by a previous software installation (e.g. a Windows update). Please reboot your computer to resume the installation of Nero 8." This doesn't mean it necessarily was a Windows update just that "for example a Windows update". What else on your machine is set to update automatically, perhaps in the backround with you unaware (antivirus or anti spyware apps)? If you strongly suspect a Windows update then go to the Windows Update page and search your "update history" for the dates and types of your latest (or all) updates. That should narrow down the culprit. Updates that are removed can just as easily be updated again by process of elimination
