Nero 9, Can It Be Used As A Player?

    Insert a dvd into my laptop drive, have a paid for edition of Nero 9, but it wants me to upgrade to 10 if I want to use the prog to view films?!...

    Is this normal?

    Shouldnt Nero Showtime be cool to play DVDs?...my op/s is W7

    yep,it has a player,but is slow as hell.i prefer vlc media player and its free.

    Oh dear I tried to reinstall Nero 9 after using the tool to uninstall it.

    Now I can't use it all, an icon Nero Start Smart has been installed on the desktop but just produces the message:

    The specified module could not be found. NBStartSmart.ocx

    Anyone know where I can find this module?

    yup.. the nero installer makes it in the system32 directory.
