I just installed Nero Burning ROM 9.2.6.0 and runs it on Vista Home Basic x64. I went to burn an AVI file on a DVD+R and everything went fine in the setup and the actual burn, but when I played it back on my home DVD machine, I could not get it to go past the custom menu I created. Even when I pressed on the "play" navigation button, nothing happened, the menu just sat there playing the music that I selected.

So I tossed that disc out and went back into Nero to trace my steps. Here's how I had set up my first burn. I opened "Create and Edit" and then "Author, Edit and Capture Video. I then highlighted "Make DVD" and "DVD Video".

From that screen I imported the AVI file then clicked next to create the custom menu. I like to include my own background and music, so I clicked on "Customize" and "Advanced Editing" then added my own JPEG for a background and my own MP3 for audio.

I then deleted "Orbit" and the little square that shows a preview of your video (I don't know if that's what hurt me or not), then I added a "play" navigation button, but this time, before I clicked on next and started the burn, I clicked on "Disk / Project" and "Check Project"

From there a window opened up that said "The following problems were detected in your project:". Below that it said "name of movie Title is added to the project but not linked". Also when I did my first burn it also said "Audio is added to the project but not linked.

So I assuming this "not linked" has something, if not everything to do with my problem correct?

One more thing...When I first chose my custom "play" navigation button, I tried out several different colors, but many of them came out purple when I was previewing the menu!
