nero 9 , when try install,pc turn off!,help

    im trying to install nero 9 and i go thru all steps and then when installation starts ,,at half way the pc turn off!!,,
    i dont know whats going on!,,maybe some software confllict,,or what i try few times and still does the same,,
    i have xp pro sp3 ,and bitdefender security,

    any help,,will apreciate in advance!

    Have you scanned for virus/malware? Where did you get Nero, is it on a CD or did you download it from the Nero site.

    just downloaded from a site ,,other than nero
    and is just the file nero.exe

    i think ,,i had to download the netframe 3 from microsoft before i install nero,, for xp,,
    im downloading now,,and will see after that if nero will install ok,,
    (im downloading from they r site now...)
