I used Nero 7 to back up my entire hard drive. Re-installed Windows XP home. Now how do I get the stuff back off the DVDs?

    Try this link:

If you've re-installed Windows, I should think you'd just run Nero BackItUp and Restore the backup from there.

However, from what I've read, Nero BackItUp doesn't create a "ghost" image of your HDD, like Norton Ghost would (for example), but it merely backs up all your important data/documents etc.

Anyway, run BackItUp and try to Restore via that. If not, try geestar's suggestion and boot from the dvd. This can be done by inserting the dvd into your drive and then restarting your PC - if the disc is bootable it will auto-boot from it on start-up.

NB: I reccomend buying an external HDD for storing backups, and investing in a decent backup utility like Norton Ghost.
