Hello! I'm using Nero 6 Enterprise Edition. I recently found out that every disc (CD or DVD) I burn is actually empty and finalized, but I see no problem. I've been burning with this version of Nero and with the same device for about a year and I had no problems. But the last 5 cd/dvd I burned had the above mentioned problem. The strange thing is that I had the same problem 2 years ago with the old PC and some earlier version of Nero, and I figured out that the problem is solved when NOT using Nero Express. BUT now I'm using Nero Burning ROM and it still happens. Help Please!
You should update Nero using the cleaning tools. also there is a newer firmware available,1.29 at this site. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces type DVR-111D in the search box. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/511441/3093239
I updated the firmware. I reinstalled Nero using Nero Cleaning tools, put v6.60.18 as you said but still no luck. This time I turned on data verification here's the log: I omitted the same parts, instead i put "...". Then, I tried using a free cd burning software, and the burn was OK. So it seems it is a Nero problem. By the way, when I burn a Data disc, everything is fine, so the problem is in copying, in the part when Nero burns from the image (there are differences in verification) - comparing the actual image and the contents of the cd show the differences. If I compare the discs visually, the CD appears burnt normally, and if I use Nero to see Disc Info, the sizes are the same. As I said, I completely cleaned the registry and reinstalled, but it didn't help. So what is the problem then?
All I have left, is that it appears your hard drive is on the secondary and the burner is on the primary channel. That's the opposite of every other log I see. Normally the HD is 0,0 and the burner would be 1,0
I tried using trial version of Nero Linux 3 (on the same computer). There were no problems at all, here is the log:
