Hi guys, my pc died about a month ago and I can't afford a new one right now, so ive bin using my laptop for everything...including backing up dvds. Its been one problem after another really but everything else I have been able to fix up until now. I am fairly computer literate but far from an expert. The latest issue is everytime I try to make a copy using shrink/nero I get the burn process failed message and its driving me crazy. Here's the log... You have Nero 7. but you did not use the clean tool for Nero 6 first. So it is using Nero 6. http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/Clean_Tools.html Stable version of Nero 7 v 7.5.9.0a http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/tech/?1901 Lastest version Nero 7 v 7.10.1.0 http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php There is also Nero 8 out. I looked for a firmware update for your writer, but the only one is for a Sony OEM. I doubt your on a Sony. So your last problem is you are burning too fast. The rule is you can burn at half the rated speed of the media, but is only for good firmware. Since your writer's max speed is 8x, you should stay at 4x.
