Here is my log file....I'm trying to burn an image file that I downloaded from Microsoft. It's the Evaluation Copy of XP x64. I'm trying to burn it onto a LightScribe so that I can LightScribe the Serial (so i dont lose it) but it will not burn correctly....I burned it to a regualr CD once already with the old F'd up OS and It burned just fine. Now that with the New OS everything is stable and running smoothly....except burning. I cannot burn DVD's or CD's ???? Here's the Log file...any suggestions? Well, to be honest, your log is near perfect. - Your version of Nero is stable, as far as I'm aware. - Your firmware is up-to-date. - You have more than enough RAM, little of which is being used. - Your burn speed is fine for CDs. - There aren't any conflicting drivers. - DMA is ON. However, I have a feeling it may be your drive. If the image files is an ISO file then try burning it with the free app IMGBurn and see if that makes a difference. Let us know
Come to think of it...it has had issues reading too. hmm...I'll try that out late tonight when I get some time to see how it goes...I'll keep you posted. Charles

Great, glad things are working. It could be your version isn't liking your OS or something, so maybe try a few fresh installs of a known stable version.
