Just followed this guide. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_mkv_to_avchd_for_ps3_and_blu-ray.cfm But at the end where i am to burn, my disc pops out saying not enough disc space? Now the size of the file is only 4.71g but when im ready too burn it says its 4.9g.. any help would be great.
I really don't work with HD/AVCHD, but maybe you can reduce the size with Nero Vision. http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Nero_Vision_5_AVCHD_Authoring_Guide_page2.html Also, what kind of audio is in your compilation?( I guess if you have DTS and would compress to AC3 you would save considerable space. or, burn onto a DL disc.
I get the idea you are burning DVD Video... Sometimes a disc has greater overheads than Nero accounts for... Until after Prepare... If it is Video, then DVD Shrink would be top recommendation... DVD Shrink can burn the product using your Nero engine as well..
I see what you mean... I didn't really notice the fact the article was Blu-Ray... Just kinda fixed on the DVD... Puts it outta my realm...
Just purchased Nero 9 and HP 20X DVD 1040e burner. We're trying to compose slide show with music. Files converted beautifully in MPEG2 format, have total of 10.5 g to burn bought Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL but nothing I do (upgrading drivers, firmware etc) will burn the entire file/slide show to the disk. It's like it only sees 4.7 g instead of the 8.5 g and Nero 9 burned 6 files, then I tried Nero 7 and that only burned 4 files so it decreased. Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong? I really need to get this resolved. Or is there a better software I should be using.
Are you trying to make a DVD Video with that slide show, so you could play it in a standalone player, or burn as a data DVD to watch it on a computer? Which application are you using to burn? Try to burn with ImgBurn instead.
Are you trying to make a DVD Video with that slide show, so you could play it in a standalone player, or burn as a data DVD to watch it on a computer? Which application are you using to burn? I'm trying to make a DVD Video to view on standalone player/TV. I tried using Nero 9 and Nero 7 It seems only to burn 4.7GB of video, which plays fine on TV. How do I set Nero 9 to recognize the full 8.5Gb of disk space?
