Hey everyone, I recently downloaded a copy of juice in divx format and wanted to burn it to DVD-R. I started with Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 to encode the divx then once i had my AUDIO_TS And VIDEO_TS folders, i used DVD shrink to shrink the files because they were to big to fit on a DVD-R. From there i used Nero Burning Rom SE 6.3.1.19 to burn it to a DVD. At the end of the burning process i got an error saying burn failed at 8x. when i took the dvd out and tried to play it it my dvd player it looked as though it worked fine exept the audio and video werent sync, ive tried fiddling with everything and cant figure out what the problem is. Uninstall Nero, uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools - " http://www.nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html ", download latest which is 6.6.0.15 - latest version of firmware (BYX4) is here - http://sony.storagesupport.com/legalagreement.zulu?dlid=dvdrw/downloads/710FWBYX4/710A_BYX4.zip - oops that's not right. see if this helps - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm - you're burning virtually to the edge of discs. In DVD Shrink's preferences, alter target size to 4300MB thus avoiding the edge of discs without sacrificing much space - I don't use these myself so won't comment on them - splat! - slow it down to 4x
