when I try to burn movie from my hd to dvd writer, nero 6 complains drive is in use by another application. I have had cdrwin5 on my computer but it is now removed. win xp pro opterite dd203 dual burner. Anyone had similar problems, or any ideas thx jtoid
I had that problem once upon a time with a cd burner. I fixed it by going into the start menu and disabling anything that wasn't absolutely critical. Some burning software preloads parts of itself, especially the software that allows u to right click a file and send it to the burner. Go to start, run, then type in msconfig and hit ok. Then go to the startup tab and uncheck anything related to your optical drives that could be running/occupying your burner. Lastly, reboot yer puter then check out the status of that drive.
