    Hi All,

I'm using Nero Burning Rom 8 (8.3.13.0), and on a Dell Inspiron 545 MT, I'm burning off to a Philips Lite On DVD Burner. I have the following songs I wish to burn.

    D:\Thru the roof 83\
    ===================
    01 - Pat Wilson - Bop-girl.wav
    02 - Dragon - Rain.wav
    03 - Culture Club - Karma Chameleon.wav
    04 - UB40 - Red red wine.wav
    05 - Paul Young - Wherever I lay my hat.wav
06 - Mike Oldfield and Maggie Reilly - Moonlight shadow.wav
    07 - Sharon O'Neill - Maxine.wav
    08 - Malcolm McLaren - Double dutch.wav
    09 - Michael Sembello - Maniac (radio mix).wav
    10 - Billy Joel - Tell her about it.wav
    11 - Michael Jackson - Gotta get startin' something.wav
12 - KC and the Sunshine band - Give it up.wav
    13 - Cold Chisel - No sense.wav
    14 - Elton John - I guess that's why they call it the blues.wav
15 - Jon English - Some people have all the fun.wav
16 - Donna Summer - She works hard for the money (radio edit).wav
17 - Ray Charles and the Blues Brothers Band - Shake your tailfeather.wav
    18 - Austin Tayshus - Australiana.wav

I select all the songs from the directory pane, then drag them across into the CD burn list pane. Here they are sorted in to alpha order, despite the fact that the songs are numbered. Does anyone know how to remove this alpha order issue?

    Thanks

I did a right click, and this is the menu I get,

    -----------------------
    Compilation Properties
    -----------------------
    Paste
    -----------------------
    Select all
    Invert selection
    -----------------------
    Add files
    -----------------------
    Help
    -----------------------

There is no "Show by track". :(

    Try selecting Invert selection.

I am using nero 7. In Either Nero Express or Nero Burning Rom, it defaults to showing by track. If I press the "Name" tab by mistake, I cannot reverse to showing by track(haven't figured out how yet), I have to start again to get the default by track selection.
It seems Nero 8 defaults to "Name" sorting....
Have you tried nero Express? That might be different.

    Here's a "fix":
-Put ANY two "dummy" songs (that you don't want in the compilation) into the CD burn list pane. They will be sorted by name. Drag the bottom one
on top of the first one. The "By Name" sorting will be disabled(you'll see the little green arrow disappear from the "Name" tab.
-Now select and drag your compilation that you want to burn into the CD pane.
    -Remove the 2 dummy songs.
Edit: Apparently the order is kept if instead of dragging the songs, you go to "Edit - Add Files".No need for the above "trickery":)

I'm glad I don't use Nero, try audiograbber a lot better and saves the hassle.
Audiograbber only rips, still a good program try imageburn.
