I have burned perfectly for about two months but during the last two weeks, nero burns the dvd perfectly (Shows the dialog "burned successfully.....") and i know it burns, because i can see the shadow in the disc (you know what i mean), and it works properly reading dvds and reading and copying cds. But neither my drive or any dvd player recognizes the disc, and i have wasted near 20 discs trying to fix this. I tried restoring my laptop to factory setting, but problem continues. What could it be? the drive? the discs? the nero software? the firmware? I know you guys can help me. Thank you

By the way, my drive is a Sony DW-P50A and i have the firmware 1.8f

First off what media are you using? get DVDInfoPro and paste the media code.

second what speed are you burning at?

let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar. You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

yes by media it is refering to brand and either + or - R, if you download DVDInfoPro and put in one of you blanks and select media code (one of the first icons on the top left) it will tell you the media code as well. you should post that.

I have burned two with no problems. Seems the australian software fixed the problem. I love it. I'll keep you posted if i have more problems, but for now i'm ok. Thanks from Puerto Rico.
