Can Nero be used to properly ..."mount" and ISO file? If so, can anyone direct me upon how to do this? And... if possible... give me a clear definition of what an ISO file is? The glossary was not quite clear.

ISO is a file that contains full content of the disc, including every single track, directory, file and information about the structure of the disc. Normally ISO files are being used to replicate existing CD/DVD discs, transfer those discs over the network to other location (or to other person) and burn back to CD/DVD which then would be an identical replica of the original disc. what's not to understand? If you have an ISO of a DVD movie then you have a file that is the exact copy of the DVD movie itself and you can burn it or mount it on Damen tools or other virtual drives! I do believe that Nero has a virtual drive capability! And you can burn the ISO with Nero too!

Nero ImageDrive is not normally installed with Nero...... I have version 6.6.0.18 and if you want to install Nero ImageDrive you need to go to Program Files/Ahead/ImageDrive and install from there (Nero 6 version). I don't know exactly about Nero 7 or if it installs directly! Then you can use Nero ImageDrive to mount your ISO file and see the contents of the ISO!

IHoe, there is no need to shout. I am new to all of this... and the only way to become as knowledgable as you is for me to ask questions.

I use Nero 7 Ultra Edition and yes, it has ImageDrive. I enabled it, so I guess it came installed. Should I enable the First and Second drives? What should I do from here?

I wasn't shouting...... CAPITAL LETTERS STAND FOR SHOUTING...... bold letters are for emphasis, nothing more and I don't mean any disrespect. Sometimes I do come off a little strong. Pardon mauahhhhhhh!

you enble Nero ImageDrive to see and use the ISO.... but you don't have to enable it at all if you just want to burn to disk.

although this image file is a cue file for a CD you can do the same thing for and ISO .... so long as the ISo is 4.38Gb or under.

Ah, thank-you for the screen shots. Being a visual learner, they help me greatly. It seems easy enough, I will give it a try when my download completes. Thank-you again.

    IHoe,

Somehow, I completed the task! I installed the game, and burned the ISO to a DVD properly. Your instructions were good, I thank-you. Unfortunately, the game was too advanced for my laptop (Fable:The Lost Chapters). But, all in all it was a great learning experience, thank-you for all of your help.
