    gener2000,
Do you get an error message when attempting to record to a DVD disc? Or does Nero fail while in the process of burning?

no error massage while burning, the only problem is , it will not burn into the dvd disk, can recode already but always asking for the target folder to save,i am using acer travelmate 2480 w/ dvd/cd-rw combo,it is possible that the problem is from the writer?

Yes, you can get a DVD burner. Depending on what you want to do(burn Dual Layer, ligtscribe...),there are mny options. I would look for one that has booktyping capabilities. And since you have a laptop, probably an external burner would be best.

read some threads in the DVD+/- forum and you will find good advice. It seems that LG, Lite-on, Pioneer are preffered.
