Hi! I have a few video files wich I edited in Ulead Video Studio, and converted them into MPG DVD PAL files. When I am compiling the DVD in Nero Vision I still have to encode the files one more time. Wich format should the video files be in, so that Nero vision doesent have to encode them one more time? Its very time consuming Thanx!
they need to be in VOB/IFO/BUP (dvd compliant mpeg2) file ext will ULEAD output that? why do you need nero? doesnt ulead make it to vob/ifo/bup and burn? i think nero if set will use files as is? aslong as mpeg2 dvd compliant (dont quote me on that) maybe others who use nero will know, i dont use it, just know alot about it.
As I understand it, in Nero Vision, using a supported frame size (720x480 would be one supported size), the source has to be a 'headed' mpeg file - else the video will be encoded. MPEG Streamclip (which I use on mpeg transport streams) can output 'headed' mpeg files - but I don't know how they differ from regular mpeg files - and since I don't have Nero installed at the present time, I can't confirm it by checking the time. I do believe that 'DVD Flick' will accept an mpeg and author the DVD without encoding the source.
