nero error

    i just tried to burn a dvd with nero on my acer 9300-5005

    i have a slimtype dvdrw DVDRW SSM-8515S and got power calibration error.

    i also got this

    change media from INFODISC there known to be not good...

    dma needs to be enabled...

    are your drives dvd/HD SATA or IDE ?

    wow how do i change that infodisc thing?

    i have no idea if my drives are dvd/HD SATA or IDE how can i find out

    i do know that this is an internal dvd on my acer aspire 9300-5005 laptop

    the specs on my laptop are dvd-super multi double layer (support dvd+-r double layer/dvd+_rw)

    your INFODISC is your media that you are using! change to Taiyo Yuden (found in online stores like supermediastore.com, rima.com, meritline.com, etc.) or Verbatim. check label on spindle or disk and make sure the Verbatims are not made in India! Taiwan or Singapore Verbatims are Good! if you start with good media then many problems disappear!

    hey which brand of blank dvd should i go out and buy today that would be best for my my acer aspire 9300-5005 laptop ?

    how about Maxell 50/Pack 4.7GB DVD+R, Spindle or Verbatim - 50-Pack 16x DVD+R Disc Spindle?

    are those ok?

    I only recommend Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim..... no other disks go near my burners!
