I wanted to install Nero Express, but a WARNING message appeared saying I needed Direct X 9a or later drivers. The question I have, is how and where do I look in Windows XP that will SHOW ME the current Direct X driver version that I currently have...before I proceed to update.
To check your DirectX version go to Start, programs, accessories, system tools, system information, Tools, DirectX Diagnostic tools. The version will be listed there near the bottom. If you want to update go to windows update and then chect to see if DirectX is listed among the availble update, if not then you have the latest version.
...Or just Start->Run->dxdiag Directx can also be downloaded from here: www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/default.asp Or you can try any mirrors you use to get your game demos, softwares or so to check wheter they host the dx files.
..ok, thanks for the big help. Probably would be a good idea to disable any running programs like anti virus and what have you before updating. Has anyone had any problems,or issues with this latest DirectX 9b version driver ???
i use nero express but if i go to express mode, that close that program, but if i run from nero burning, it's okey, how is that?...en i cannot use image drive from that fasility, or maybe because i use Windows ME that not stable? So anyone who can help me?...
I have NO IDEA why nero requires directx9b but there shouldnt be any problems with it... or without it... wierd.
