Hi all, My Liteon burner has been working fine until last Saturday. Nothing has changed on my hardware or software but it keeps failing burning my DVD (6 coasters so far, regardless of the speed selected) I can burn with a success message (fro, nero) as long as I do not select the finalize CD/DVD, but then the disk is still unreadable by my pc. My DMA is enabled on both drives and i have the latest firmware for my dvd. I am using the same spindle of DVD (RITEK DVD-R disks) I have been using before which worked just fine (I burned 30 DVD, one failed before). Here is an extract of my nero log : If anyone can help, I would appreciate it as I really am at a loss here.
- you're burning far too close to the edge of the disc in my opinion. If you're using dvd shrink set the target size to 4300MB. I have this set to 4300MB permanently even on top quality discs as you're not sacrificing much space - - your drive doesn't like that media for some reason - don't know much about this error, think this error is just a symptom of other problems - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/188198 - try slowing it down, try 4x even though you said you'd tried this..
