Trying to reinstall nero, had a drive go down that had nero on it. When i try to install nero, "Error occured during the copy process(file name)Error 6. The handle is invalid" Did a regedit went under software and deleted the ahead folder so nothing was left reinstalled same message anyone have this happen?
I've only seen this with corrupted downloads or if installing from a CD, it could have dust or scratches. I would recommend downloading the latest version from the Nero website and install using your Nero 6 serial key to unlock from Demo mode, and see if this resolves your issue. P.S. If you did already try downloading, then try downloading from another system in case that one is having trouble. Or try installing your download on another system to confirm if the download is corrupt of if the problem is specific to this one system. Regards, Craig

Cool glad to help, it actually took me a couple days before i found that. Glad to help someone so they dont have to beat there head against the key board.
After transferring my 120 GB drive including partitions to my new 160 GB SATA drive using Ghost I was unable to use Nero. I tried re-installing, re-installing to different folders, un-installing and re-installing from both CD and the internet. I was so frustrated I would have pulled my hair out if I had any. Thank goodness I finally typed error:6 handle invalid at the search engine and found your thread, you saved me with the link - general clean tool took care of it for me. Thank you.
