After I hit the 'write' button, the status window pops up for the burn. After a minute or so, it'll get to 5% done and then it just sits there. Nero's not frozen, as I can still minimize/reopen the status window. The light on my burner also continues to flicker. I've waited up to 2 hours, and nothing happens. It also seems to cause problems to my system as well, such as other applications failing to close. If I cancel the burn, Nero continues to hang and I'm also unable to eject the now ruined blank CD. I followed the guides for converting DivX avi's using TMPGEnc and creating VCD's using Nero. I also upgraded to the latest version of Nero and firmware for my burner (Yamaha CRW2200), in hopes of fixing this problem. It's strange because I have no problem burning data CD's with Nero or the built-in XP burner. Any ideas? Thanks.
Be sure ASPI layer 4.6 or Force ASPI is installed. Try different media and check your pc for any hard disc errors (scan disc). Disable antivirus and any other running applications in the write process. Shoey
