nero is not burnning

    After i shrink the dvd with dvd shrink verison 3.1.
    I go to dvd-video in nero and put the video_ts files in the box and click burn. It starts to work then i get a series of errors starts with:

    dvd-video files reallocation started
    dvd-video files reallocation completed(no file modified)

    dvd-video files sorted
    caching of files started
    caching of files completed
    burn process started at 2.4x(3,312 kb/s)
    _nec DVD+RW ND-1100a
    power calibration error
    generating dvd high compatibility borders
    generating dvd borders completed successfully
    burn process failes at 2.4x (3,312 kb/s)

    This the firs time that i have had this problem.

    What media are using ?

    you mean nero verison 6

    sorry

    im using dvd+r and dvd+rw and they both get the same problem

    Brand name - you need Ritek G04 or Verbatim

    Let’s get your media straightened out -

    1. Cheap media skips, freezes, fuzzes, pixelats, partially jams and of course, our good old standby, either doesn’t burn or doesn’t play at all :-(

    Cheap media is great for text, Data, Spreadsheets, .Jpg and .Gif pictures and is good even for MP3 music BUT for DVD backups - BLAaaaaaT! It SUCKTH in an extremely great way !

    2. A top grade media is needed for DVD reproduction !
    Ritek G04's or Verbatim are what we’re looking for OR any media boasting “Advanced AZO Metal Dye”, this indicates a superior dye application, while they are a bit “pricey” they are acceptable.

    Prices online from Meritline.com have gotten Ritek G04 to around a dollar a disc -

    Question - If you make coasters out of 3 cheap discs and good copies from 3 Verbatim discs or 3 Ritek G04 discs - which ones then are too expensive ?

    Okay thanks for the tips. Which media do you perfer? Im using maxell dvd+r. Could that be the reason that the burnning is failing?

    Maxell again is only FAIR - try those I mentioned - Poor media will not burn -

    also go to msconfig and shut everything down to use 100% of your resources -
