For Space, with Quality coming in second, Mp3 Pro 64bits what other settings should I use? Constant vs Variable? 44000 24000. Any thoughts or suggestions. I want to stay with 64bits only as previously stated. Thanks

first off, if you want to use a low bitrate like that for the quality vs. quantity ratio, you want to try and get the best quality possible at that bitrate. start ripping your CDs with EAC (exact audio copy) and encode with LAME. They are both free and when used together will result in the best quality mp3s you can create. if you must use that low of a bitrate, you definately want to use VBR (variable bitrate) encoding...it provides much more audio detail and quality versus constant bitrate. i would recomment leaving the sample rate at the standard 44.1Khz, stepping down from that will result in telephone audio quality.

check out the link to the guide in my sig below on how to install, setup, and use EAC and LAME.
