nero problem file format not supported

    i seem to have a problem with certain discs my mate gives me to copy in nero when i got to do a straight copy to copy i get the message file formay not supported i can copy the files over to my harddrive and then burn a dvd video but some times i cant copy all the files to my harddrive then i get a error message saying dvd files may not work in a standalone do i want to carry on and burn??? if i try copy discs in clonedvd i get picture reader error or ifo properties errors is it the way my mates burning and rencoding his files? any help would be reaaly appreciated as im at the end of my tether thanks newbie

    Make sure that 'multisession' is not checked in nero under DVD-ROM option before going to 'copy disc'. Are you sure you're using the correct type of discs in your burner?

    i will try that tonite thanks for info im using ritex g4 discs 4x purple dye on a pioneer ao6 if my mate burnt them as a multi session disc but didnt close the last session (think thats finalise isnt it?) would that be the problem???

    THANKS FOR INFO I CHECKED THAT MULTISESSION WAS NOT ON IT WASNT BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT IF I GET THAT ERROR MESSAGE AND CLOSE NERO DOWN AND RESTART IT IT WILL THEN COPY DISC SO IT WORKS ANYWAY THANKS FOR HELP
